Explore the multi-dimensional viewpoints of award-winning poet Sally Wen Mao as she discusses her newest book, The Kingdom of Surfaces: Poems on Sunday, December 3rd, 2023 at 4 pm EST (1 pm PST). The Kingdom of Surfaces explores art, beauty, and women, and how these things interact with empire, commodification, and violence. Mao reflects upon American imperialism through her poetry. Dr. Dawn Li, poet and author of Songs of a Lotus Leaf will be in conversation with Sally Wen Mao.
