CHCP's Chinese American Historical Museum (CAHM) will be open from 2:00 to 6:00 pm on Saturday August 10 during History Park's Spirit of '45 event. The Spirit of '45 event will be held from 2:00 to 10:00 pm on Saturday August 10 at History Park.
Take a trip back in time as the 14-acre History Park is transported to the 1940s with live swing music, a vintage car show, a WWII Tent City, Victory parade, food trucks, and activities for the whole family.
For the Spirit of '45 event, to honor, celebrate and preserve the legacy of the patriotism, sacrifice, and valor of Chinese American WWII veterans, the Museum's 2nd floor will display CHCP's brand new banners featuring the WWII China-Burma-India Theater and also Chinese American military participation throughout U.S. history. Plus, a short clip of CHCP's film, "Our Story of War and Remembrance," featuring the stories and contributions of Bay Area Chinese American WWII veterans will be shown on the big screen TV.
ADMISSION: While the Museum is free, you must pay for admission to History Park for the Spirit of '45 event. Information and tickets can be found here.
