CHCP participated in the “Gathering: Collecting and Documenting Chinese American History” exhibit at the Museum of Chinese in America in New York City (MOCA-NYC) that ran from October 17, 2019 through March 22, 2021, by sending information and an artifact (altar vessel) representing the Chinese American Historical Museum (CAHM) at History Park in San Jose.

This exhibit brought together, for the first time ever, the origin stories of 28 Chinese American museums, historical societies and organizations across the U.S. that document and make public the history of Chinese throughout America. Their origin stories were told through a single object or artifact each institution chose to loan from its collection for display at the exhibit.
